Tiffany Dowhan is a down to earth Alberta girl with an honest, yet unique vocal style. Tiffany is not a new face in the Canadian Country Music industry, yet she has reappeared with a new edgy sound, look and album.
Tiffany's latest album "High Heels & Spurs", officially released in May of 2011, is an album that displays who she truly is. On one side the album is aggressive & blunt, like her latest single "That Hat". In "That Hat", Tiffany makes it very clear that you do not want to mess with her man or better yet her cowboy!! On the other side, the album will tug at your heart strings, with songs like "I Won't Beg You to Love Me", portraying a relationship where she has given up on convincing someone to love her. Be ready for an album that has 12 songs that are all honest and open. "It is an album that you wanna rock out to while you're on a long road trip! It'll make you laugh, cry, dance and sing at the top of your lungs!" says Tiffany. "Whether you're from a small town, a farm or you have never seen the back side of a horse, you will love it!"
The album was recorded in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with award winning producer, Bart McKay. Bart has received acclaim and recognition for the production of albums and singles in the top 20 for Brad Johner, Gord Bamford and Shane Yellowbird. Bart brought Tiffany's new sound to the forefront, giving it a upbeat & energetic feel. The album displays a commercial country sound mixed with Tiffany's unique vocal style.
The album features songs that are written by the likes of Byron Hill, Larry Wayne Clark, Tebey, Anthony Kelly and even Tiffany herself. Tiffany has credits on the title track, "High Heels & Spurs". It is a song that explains who she truly is. "Glamour on the Outside, Cowgirl on the Inside", lyrics that definitely explain Tiffany to a tee! "This album is who I am and I am so proud of it!", says Tiffany.
In the past, Tiffany released 4 singles to Canadian radio. In February 2006, Tiffany released her debut single "Sweet Dreams" and in November of 2006 Tiffany released her 2nd single "Hey Cowboy". In February of 2007 "Hey Cowboy" hit #1 on 790 CFCW Radio's Weekly Top Canadian Singles. Tiffany released "Wagon Trails to Glory" a tribute song, to the late and great World Professional Chuckwagon Driver, George Normand in March of 2008. Tiffany was honored when one of her idols, Cindy Church graced the song with her amazing harmony vocals. CD's continue to be sold across western Canada to help raise funds for the Bonnyville Pro Rodeo & Chuckwagon Association.
In September of 2010 Tiffany released, "Can't Hide in A Small Town", her first single off of her brand new album. The song and her new sound, defintely caught the attention of her audience and has recieved radio play across Canada!! Tiffany's latest single, "That Hat", released in May of 2011, did exceptionally well across Canada. In July of 2011, "That Hat" hit #2 on 790 CFCW Radio's Top Canadian Singles! "That Hat" has also been Tiffany's #1 single download on iTunes!
Tiffany has toured with the likes of Gord Bamford and opened for acts like Corb Lund & Prairie Oyster. She has performed at events like Big Valley Jamboree & showcased at Canadian Country Music Week.
